Organizing a Conference or an ETH Summer School

If you are interested in organizing a conference or an ETH Summer School with CSF in 2019, these are the steps to follow:

Read our Call for Proposals 2019 and download the corresponding application form once available
From mid June 2017

Fill out and submit the appropriate application form.
The application form for international conferences can be downloaded through the "Online Platform" (*) from mid June 2017 on. Please contact the CSF (, Tel. 091 785 40 56) if you would like the application forms for ETH Summer Schools  
By January 15, 2018

Wait for the CSF Scientific Board’s decision about your application
March 2018

If your application has been accepted, this is what will happen next:

You will receive a contract from the Event Office of the Monte Verità Foundation (hereafter EO-FMV) together with some important information about how to organize your meeting
Between 7 and 6 months before the beginning of your meeting

Sign the contract and send it back to the EO-FMV
At least 6 months before the beginning of your meeting

You will send us an abstract of your meeting using the CSF Online Platform (*)
By end of September 2018

Before the meeting begins, the following information has to be provided:

You will inform the EO-FMV via the CSF Online Platform (*) whether you want to include an excursion and social dinner in your program. Documentation on possible excursions and dinner locations can be found in the Attachments on the Online Platform
Up to 1 month before the beginning of your meeting

You will send to the EO-FMV via the CSF Online Platform (*) the following documents:
- bedroom occupancy
- meals selection
- technical requirements
Up to 15 days before the beginning of your meeting

You will send to the CSF the list of the requested travel reimbursements (if applicable)
Up to 15 days before the beginning of the meeting

(*) Very Important

We strongly recommend to use our Online Platform for the management of your meeting because:

  • the lists generated and submitted from our Online Platform directly reach the relevant services at Monte Verità and at CSF
  • it is the only way in which information such as bedrooms booking, meals arrangements, excursion + conference dinner and the technical requirements in the conference rooms can be transferred
  • the participants data are needed to generate a number of documents, such as name badges, certificates of attendance, travel refunds

Note:
all personal contacts with the conferees are the organizer's concern
